The Instructional Resource Commons is located at the Center for Integrated Professional Development and open to all faculty and staff.
Come relax in the comfortable, quiet setting to read or get away from your office, or attend one of the Center's workshops or events held in the IRC. The area includes a library that consists of books, videos, and handouts on a variety of pedagogical topics.
Search for materials online, using keyword, author, title, subject, or series
Use the Center’s electronic catalog to find materials in our Resource Commons. All materials are organized by their Library of Congress call numbers.
If you want to use this catalog to place materials on hold until you can pick them up, please email us at ProDev@ilstu.edu to set up an account.
We are continuing to build the resources so please let us know of books, videos or handouts you have found useful for teaching.
Recommend a resource and we will review your recommendation when we purchase new resources.
If you've read/watched/used one of the resources included in our catalog, we'd like to hear from you.
Write a review on our materials and we may include your review in our listings in the future.
The name “Commons” was selected to reinforce the notion that this location is an area for faculty to assemble, learn and relax. Our Resource Commons area is available for meetings, reading or informal chats.
We offer comfortable seating, a projection system and computer, and “bottomless” supply of tea/cocoa/water for your convenience and pleasure.
Be sure to check us out next time you deliver your Opscan forms, or just stop in for a warm drink on a chilly day.
