Proctortrack
Proctortrack is a test monitoring service acquired by Illinois State University in 2020. It is similar to the Respondus Lockdown Browser (also available for use with ReggieNet), but it also requires students to take an assessment in front of an active web camera.
Instructors associate an assessment in ReggieNet’s Tests & Quizzes tool with the Proctortrack service and provide students with a link to take the exam. The exam is monitored through Proctortrack, not ReggieNet.
Instructors can view an online “dashboard” which shows student progress.

Use this form to request access to Proctortrack. You may be prompted to enter your ISU ULID and password.
Informed Consent
The latest guidance from the Provost's office states:
The use of Proctortrack requires informed consent by the student. If a student does not consent, they should be given alternative methods of taking a proctored exam. A student should not be given a 0 on an assessment for not agreeing to use Proctortrack. Students who have accommodations due to a disability should contact Student Access and Accommodations Services as they would for any exam.
Please work with students without disabilities who request to not use Proctortrack software to take an exam or quiz to identify an alternative solution. This may include but is not limited to: monitoring the student on Zoom during the examination period, requesting technology consultants/monitors to proctor the exam through Zoom, and allowing students to take the exam on a university computer so they do not have to download the software.
If you and the student are unable to agree to a reasonable alternative, please contact the chair/director of your department or school to help facilitate a solution.

Impact on learning

Time and technology requirements
From the students’ perspectives, Proctortrack requires them to go through a verification process and install special software on their computers. This needs to be done at least 48 hours before the scheduled start of the exam. The software is available for Windows PC, Mac, and Chromebook platforms. Students will need to have access to a minimum level of technology, including a webcam.

Planning for accommodations
Access to proctored assessments in ReggieNet are controlled by the settings designated in ReggieNet. The date settings set in Proctortrack controls the window of time that a ReggieNet test or quiz can be proctored. The date settings in Proctortrack should therefore be set to encompass the open period for the test or quiz in ReggieNet. Date settings in one system do not affect dates settings in the other system.
To avoid doubled time and effort spent adjusting dates for accommodations, such as exception to time and date, makeups, or resubmissions, the Proctortrack proctoring start date should be set to begin on the first day of the semester, and the end date should be set to the last day of the semester. Having a proctoring window open for the entire semester allows for any date adjustment in ReggieNet to fall within proctoring time availability. Setting proctoring dates this way avoids having to make adjustments to dates in both ReggieNet and Proctortrack.
