The Center for Integrated Professional Development offers four different templates for ReggieNet course sites. These templates serve as "shells," which the instructor can customize. Templates must be requested by the instructor and applied to a course by support staff (please allow 5 to 7 business days to complete).
This template features a left-hand menu that contains a variety of tools generally used in ReggieNet course sites. It includes a Start Here page and weekly lesson pages created using the Lessons tool. In this template, students must select the Weekly Lessons button to reveal the full list. (learn more)
Similar to Template 1, this design also features a Start Here page and lessons pages, but the weekly lessons are always visible in the left-hand menu. (learn more)
In this design, the Start Here page is incorporated directly into the first page students see when entering the course. It also includes weekly lessons. This lesson design first introduces students to the weekly learning objectives, so they know what they are expected to learn. (learn more)
This template features a "Welcome to the Course" overview page. Students are provided information about the course, directions on where to start, and a welcome from the instructor. This template separates out the lessons based on topic rather than creating lessons based on dates or week of the course. (learn more)
Note: When a template is applied to a course site, any existing information in the course site is overwritten.
Instructors who have already begun to build out their course and then decide to apply a template can request a "sandbox" – a new, temporary ReggieNet site from which they can manually pull out desired elements of their selected template. This video tutorial can help you transfer content from the sandbox to your course site.
Even when a template is applied directly to a course site, instructors may need to manually arrange tool order. Consult this tutorial video for step-by-step instructions.
