Allison is a PhD candidate in the English department with a specialization in Linguistics. She received her BA in English from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and graduated with a MA in English in 2017 from the University of Rochester. Since 2018, she has taught introductory linguistics and grammar courses, worked on the Writing Program Leadership Team, and supported peers and students through various other roles. Allison’s research is focused on the intersection of identity, gender, feminist movements, and language.
Outside of her work at the Center and in the English department, Allison loves to watch TV, garden, run, spend time with friends, and hang out with her tiny chihuahua, Maggie, and cat, Poppy.
As the Learning Systems Coordinator, Allison provides coordination and expertise in the operations, configurations, and support of the institution’s learning management system (LMS) from an academic-based perspective. She collaborates with leadership in Online Education leadership and with Technology Solutions leadership and technical personnel in the management, analysis, support, and improvement of LMS and other learning technologies.
