The three most valuable or important things that I bring to my teaching practice
1) Real world application
2) Passion and inspiration
3) Classroom equality..
The person that has been the most important influence in my teaching career
Dr. Cheri Simonds through her training program and pedagogical skills, she has fanned my teaching spark, showing me that I have the potential to teach past the GTA level.
The most rewarding aspect of teaching for me
The point in the semester when everyone in the classroom is familiar and friendly with one another and a positive/funny classroom culture has been created. I find this to be the most rewarding, because not only does the positive classroom synergy benefit the students socially, but, I believe also academically.
Regarding my teaching accomplishments, I am proudest about
Becoming a Peer Mentor for the incoming GTA students. I want to improve my teaching by constantly re-evaluating what I am doing, what my students are learning, and how they are learning it. I never want my teaching to become stagnate or boring for my students or me.
