The core idea of my teaching philosophy
Through my passion for both teaching and the subject matter, I hope to inspire my students to develop their own enthusiasm for the subject matter and to engage meaningfully and responsibly beyond the classroom.
The most challenging aspect of teaching
Doing my best to curtail some of the anxiety and despair journalism majors are seeing dog the field they are pursuing careers in. Thus, I am focusing my efforts on finding ways to best equip students with the skills they need to adjust to the metamorphosis of journalism. One such way I have is to create enthusiasm and hope about the huge metamorphosis that journalism has and continues to go through.
How to improve my teaching
I continue to reflect on how I can be a better educator and attempt to provide opportunities for my students to reflect on how they can be best prepared for an ever-changing field. Together, we seek success by engaging with each other and with the community in order to display critical thinking within the arena of democratic conversations and social issues.
Best compliment that I’ve received from a student
It is important to have teachers who care and know how to connect well with the newest generation of students, from my experiences you are one of the best at doing this. You have made a memorable impression.
