Teaching Philosophy
I believe in supporting my students and catering to their individual needs, while also encouraging them to be themselves and allow their creativity to guide everything that they do.
My motivation to become a college professor comes from
I was inspired to teach because the difficult times I experienced while I was in college, myself. I was able to get through the experience because of the grace my own teachers gave me and I want to share that same grace with others. College is not easy and I want to become a professor so that I can be there to support my students and their futures.
The three most valuable or important methods/approaches/attitudes/etc. that I bring to my teaching practice are
Positivity
Excitement for Class Content
Adaptability
The most rewarding aspect of teaching for me is
Watching my students grow over the duration of the semester. It is beautiful to see how much they improve by the end of our time together.
Best compliment that I’ve received from a student was
"You have instilled in me a sense of happiness and courage that I will take with me after this semester. Somehow you managed to bring joy and life into our classroom every single time you walked in the door. Don't ever lose that spark."
