Dear Colleague,
We have two events coming up to showcase Canvas, Illinois State’s new learning management system, and to answer your questions about the transition from ReggieNet.
We hope you’ll be able to stop by today from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for the second, in-person Canvas Kickoff event of the semester. Instructors from the spring pilot program will be in the State Farm Hall of Business room 147 to show off their course sites. They, and staff from Technology Solutions and the Center for Integrated Professional Development, will answer your questions. No registration is necessary, and you can stop by for as long as you like! Read more about the event in this recent news article.
Can’t make today’s Kickoff event? The Canvas Q&A webinar will stream live on Tuesday, May 2, from noon to 1 p.m. While the session, which will be recorded for later viewing, is aimed at instructors and academic support staff, all members of the campus community are welcome to attend.
Pilot instructors and support staff will offer a comparison of ReggieNet and Canvas, with an emphasis on new features and what instructors need to do to prepare to teach with the new learning management system starting in the fall of 2023. The webinar format will allow participants to ask questions, which will be addressed in real time by the panel.
Topics will include:
